The Pink Silhouette Lady

Hi My dear Friends!

Merry Belated Christmas to every body!

Sorry this post is a bit to late to wish you all a Merry Christmas, but we are still in the season of Joy and Happiness so I can still wish you all the best with your families and dear friends all over the world!!

I am still having a fantastic Christmas! We stopped over at my son's Huntly and his wonderful little family for our Christmas meal! Wow what a meal! The food was amazing!  We took breaks in between the different courses and an excuse for another glass of wine! For afters there was lovely board games and what fun we had!

We left them about midday and gone to a small town called Crieff in Perthshire, Scotland. We are staying here for a few days.  I decorated the motorhome a Scandinavia theme Red and White, and we love it! it is so festive! The fragrant candles that are burning give off this lovely Christmas aromas. I just love Christmas time!!!

SOMETHING NEW

We have another Technique Challenge once a month and is ending on the 14 January

The theme for that challenge is

Easel Card

Well everybody here is my take on this weeks Challenge:

I used a white base card stock for the card
I layered it with mint green card to bring the lovely green out of my DP papers
I used a 2 lovely stamps from SweetStamps.com's
I used Versamark to stamp the images and used
a Pink Embossing powder to match my DP papers
I cut my Lady out and stuck her to the small Oval I cut out from the DP papers
I used a Grand Decorative Ovals die to cut around my Oval Stamped Images
I colored her in with a Promarker in "Satin"
After I layered the DP papers onto Pink card and rapped a satin Pink ribbon in the middle
of the backing layer I glued it to my base card and glued my main images to that
I used the same Marianne Design Corner die as for the corners and and
cut 2 corners in the mint green but just used a part of the die
to bring a bit of the Green onto the Pink Silk ribbon
I added 2 Green Pearls

These lovely Marianne Design Corner Dies is so
delicate and cut to perfection
I used Pink card to cut 4 corners and added it to my corners

I made a Pink Angel and two different Pearl and Silver Beads Pins
I love making decorative pins with beads and charms.
I added it to the lovely bouquet of roses I made
Finally added the Rose Bouquet to my Card

This  Months Technique Challenge across at SweetStamps.com

Easel Card

Just a reminder that this challenge lasts until 14 January 2014

The monthly challenge at SweetStamps Challenges is focused on techniques and will run from the 15th of the current month to the 14 of the next month.

You have a chance to win a $20 Gift Certificate to spend on lovely nice
goodies at the SweetStamps.com

You get an extra chance to win when you use a SweetStamps image on your creation.

**All of these techniques and more can be found on the TUTORIALS page of our website**
Well here is my take on it!

I had a great time creating this easel card.  I just love Pink and Blue and some white!
I used textured white card for my main card, made my folds to create the base for my Easel Card.
After I completed my main image I layered it on Pink and Blue cards stock and then again on another white card.
I added it to the flap of my Easel Card

I just love these stamps! I created a Scene with the
Sweet Ginger Bread House and the Ginger Bread Boy and Girl Duo
I stamped them with memento ink and coloured it in with my
Copics and Promarkers

Copics:
B21, B23, B24, R81, R83 & R85

Promarkers:
March Hare & Tand

I used Blending Chalks to create the clouds
and around my picture to give it depth

As you can see in the picture bellow that the Ginger Bread Boy and Girl are freestanding, crating a 3D image. I made them each a extra bit to stand freely.
I added Blue and Pink string bows
to my Boy and Girl
They were part of my stopper for my top of my Easel Card.

This lovely sentiment is part of the Ginger Bread House Stamp Due
I used a Spellbinders plain circle and scalloped circle
I used Distressed Ink Spun Sugar around the edges of my sentiment
I made these flowers
I layered every thing to mimic the top of my Easel Card

I really enjoyed this project.

Well pop over to SweetStamps.com and come and play with us!

Simple Christmas

We have another Technique Challenge once a month and is ending on the 14 December

The theme for that challenge is

Micro Beads

Well everybody here is my take on the Borders Challenge:

I made a 6 X 6 card
I love this color choice this time of the year!!
My main card is from a 300 grams red card stock from my stash

I stamped this lovely Poinsettia Corner stamp
4 times to form this lovely frame

I used Promarkers to color it in
Red Berry, Lipstick Red &
Pear Green

I added Liquid Pearls in the center of my flowers
On the big Poinsettia in the corner I painted with
a thin paintbrush over the leaves with H2o
I used a Craft Blade to cut these delicate flowers just on the outside
of the square out because I still wanted the center to remain for a base
for my main image

I used a lovely Marianne Design
and cut the frame out of the Green
Layered it all up

Added 4 Red Pearls to the corners

I die cut this love Poinsettia out of Parchment
Took a ball tool and gone around the edges and the center of each leave
I took H2o to get a bit of a glitter effect on the leaves and
then used a small brush to paint the leaves with 3D paint Stamp Paint
This is a new product from SweetStamps.com
Amazing stuff!
I used 3 sizes of plain circle Spellbinder dies and cut 1 in Green and 1 in Red and 1 in White
I added green String Beads in the center
Then layered it on the Green, Red and White Circle
I let the leaves that I cut out with the Craft Blade lay over the White Circle

Links to all the lovely products are below. You can stock up on some
needed supplies from the SweetStamps Store
