Layered my picture with blue card to make my image pop
I added this bit of Hessian Ribbon and some wooden buttons

What fun was this image to do. I used
Multi mediums to color this image
I have used Derwent Watercolors Pencils

The Beautiful Sunbird

Hi everybody!!

It has been such a lovely day here in Scotland and I just wanted to paint!

This is a mid month Challenge reminder for DS4J

As always every bodies favorite

Anything Goes

But there is an Optional Twist

Things with Wings!!

Recipy

I created a A5 card and made it Landscape
Layered with a blue card stock to bring the blue out in the bird
I used watercolor pencils and acrylic paint.
I used a Spotter Brush to create the feathers
I painted the background with White Acrylic paint with a small amount of
Acrylic Iridescent Medium
I incorporated this medium to the paint on the back of the bird
because in the wild their feathers are very iridescent.

Coloring Mediums:

I had so much fun with this bird!
I used Derwent Watercolor Pencils

My own Challenge 1 Page Mini Journal with Scraps

Hi every one and a very Happy Monday!

What fun I had creating this Mini 1 Page Journal
In the beginning of 2015 I set myself a Challenge to use up all
my scraps, would it be left over card, dies cuts, embossed pieces of card,
Well to be honest anything that is left over from projects that we all
just love keeping in our craft rooms.

Well with this project I decided I am going to put a piece of all the
coloured cared stock in a bowl, close my eyes and draw a few colours
No matter what they were I had to make it work for me
and wasn't allowed to use any other card stock
or paper.

This all I was allowed to use new!
(so to speak)
I new A4 White Card Stock
The only embellishments I was allowed to use
was white ribbon and white plat back pearls.

Well read on and see what I created

Please come and join us with

Here is my take on the Challenge this week!

My own challenge a 1 Page Mini Journal with Scraps!!

I made the front and back cover of my book the same
The edge I used was dies from Spellbinders
I layered the Lilac card stock onto White card stock
and I finished
it by adding White flat back pearls
(left over pieces from a project)

In this project of mine I used the lovely range of inks
that SweetStamps.com have
I tried to use as close as possible the same colors of the card
to create more a watermark effect

All these Stencil come in 2 sizes and I used the ATC size
just the perfect size for these Mini 1 Page Journal

These 2 pages the front and the back
I make a lot of these Mini 1 Page Journal
They are so versatile and so easy!!

These are my first two pages
I used a Stained Glass Stencil
I made a tag and pocket and stamped on the pocket
and added 1 White flat back pearl
I layered the 1 page with Teal and the other
with the Green card stock
I stamped in the corners and added White flat back pearls
and made a Soft Teal tag same as the opposite
page

I love pink and yellow together but I had to incorporate
the peach!
I used a Mini Stone Path stencil
I used just plain pink card for a pocket to keep
my tag in, just to incorporate the Pink on the background
I made a Peach tag and stamped a lovely swirl on it,
which is the same as stamp as the opposite side, but just part of it
The 1 page I layered with Yellow card stock and the other with Pink
This is such a lovely Swirl!!!
I added White flat back pearls

I stamped a lovely swirl on this page

I just love this combination!
I used stencil paste on this 1 to create depth
I took scraps and made a pocket that could
hold my Pink tag and stamped on the tag
I layered both the pages
I just kept this page clean and simple
I made a white tag for this page.

I used here the Cat Tails Stencil and inked it
I stamped this lovely swirl from the
ArtsyFartsy Clear Stamp collection
and added a single flat back pearl
I made 2 tags 1 white and stamped on another 1
and used the Green card
I layered the page with the same Green card as
the other page and I stamped it
and added 3 White flat back pearls
And made a White tag

Here I used another fantastic stencil
This is just 1 stamp again from the ArtsyFartsy
range and the bottom swirls is the tales of the birds
I created a Peach Tag for this pocket
I layered both the pages 1 in Blue and the other in Peach
to bring the pages together
This is such a lovely swirly stamp from the same
stamp set and I just added a single White
flat back pearl on each page

I love how these 2 pages came out!
The stencil is a Spider Web, but I "hope"
I made it look like Love cascading down!!
These 2 love birds in the heart is 1 of the
ArtsyFartsy range and I added a pearl in the middle
I layered both the pages with the same Lilac plain card stock
The other page  I used another ArtsyFartsy
stamp and added White flat back pearls
It is not showing in the picture but I made 2 White tags
for this page.

This is the center of the Book and it is a pocket so
I made a few tags that I added
different colours that I used in this
Mini 1 Page Journal
