Well everybody here is my take on a Western Theme:

I had fund doing this card! I used a speckle cream card as my base and made an A5 card
I took this lovely medium brown handmade paper and wet the
edges and just tore it to give me the distressed look
and took Walnut Stain Distress Ink and inked
the edges and rolled 1 corner
I took a bit of cream hessian cloth and fray the edges
and ran my the  Walnut Stain Distress Ink over the
the hessian
I used a Marianne Die form my frame and used a dark brown
card stock

Well did I had fun doing this Image!
I stamped my image that is from SweetStamps.com
Horse Portrait Oval with Brown Memento
and embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder
I used 2 distressed inks Pumice Stone &
Walnut Stain to color my image
I cut it out and inked up with Versamark Ink
I took Deep Impressions Clear Embossing Powder
all over and heat it with my heat gun
I done this twice I really wanted a nice thick image
After about 20 min I started to bend my image to
created a crackle effect!
Then framed it with this lovely die cut frame from Marianne Designs
Well that is my Western Theme card.

The supplies I used from Sweet Stamps Store:

Piecing my Mr & Mrs Snowman together!

Hi dear Blogger!

It is a dull day here in Scotland today, but a fantastic excuse not to do gardening and stay inside to craft!!!!  I had a fab weekend so far! I am still helping my friend with the Lazer Cutting Machine to build up stock for a few big shows later this year, well saying that the 1st is only 4 weeks away, wow the time does fly when you do have fun!

Well it is again time for another monthly technique across at
SweetStamps.com and this month it is
Paper Piecing

I loved it so much I even created my back ground with the same paper as
what I used to do my paper piecing on my stamps and
created a quilt blanket effect.

This  Months Technique Challenge across at SweetStamps.com!!!

Just a reminder that this challenge lasts until 14 October

The monthly challenge at SweetStamps Challenges is focused on techniques and will run from the 15th of the current month to the 14 of the next month.

You have a chance to win a $20 Gift Certificate to spend on lovely nice
goodies at the SweetStamps.com

You get an extra chance to win when you use a SweetStamps image on your creation.

**All of these techniques and more can be found on the TUTORIALS page of our website**

Well here is my take  on it!

I used a plain white card stock and made a 6 X 6 card
I made my background  like a patchwork quilt with the squares
all measuring 3.5 cm and used the papers that I used
to do the Paper Piecing on my image
I layered it with plain red card stock

for my image I used the Mr & Mrs Snow Duo 207K from SweetStamps.com
The DP papers I used is from Wild Rose Studio - Traditional Christmas
I made the broom stick from a Tooth Pick and Butchers Twine
I added a bit of blink to both for buttons
I used 2 Spellbinders dies, the Grand Scalloped Oval and the Small Scalloped Oval
I used Distressed ink for the background

Here is my list I used from SweetStamps.com

Well I hope you enjoyed this project of mine and hope I could be of some
inspiration to you!
